Bulk Dextrose is a monosaccharide, or simple sugar, that is derived entirely from corn starch, and is a great choice for pre, intra or post exercise. Dextrose, also known as Glucose, is found in the body and is the result of breaking down carbohydrates (dextrose is also a carbohydrate). By consuming Dextrose, the process of breaking down starchy carbohydrate is skipped resulting in a rapid supply of energy. Taste wise, Dextrose is about 20% less sweet than regular cane sugar, and is commonly added to pre, intra and post-workout drinks. Dextrose is commonly mixed with Protein, Creatine and BCAA to give just a few examples.
