Active ingredient guaifenesin helps to thin and loosen mucus in your chest, making it easier to cough up.

A cough is a reflex action to clear your airways of phlegm and irritants such as dust. A mucus cough is a productive cough which means mucus is produced to help clear your airways. The cough mechanism kicks in to try and get rid of this excess mucus.

Directions:

For oral use only. Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Two 5 ml spoonfuls four times a day. Do not use in children under 12 years. Do not use more than 4 doses in 24 hours. Do not exceed the stated dose.

Indications

Do not store above 25°C. Store in the original container. Use within 4 weeks of opening.

Ingredients

Each 5 ml of Cough Syrup contains: Guaifenesin 100mg. Also contains: Ethanol, Glucose, Fructose, Sucrose, E124 (See leaflet). This product contains 4.7 vol % Ethanol. Sodium content: 8.8mg/5 ml.
