Guedel Airways are used to prevent the tongue from obstructing the airway during resuscitation. The Guedel Airways are suitable for use on unconscious patients. With conscious or semi-conscious patients there is a high possibility that the device would stimulate a patient`s gag reflex. This could cause the patient to vomit and potentially lead to an obstructed airway. Guedel Airways have a bite block in their design to prevent biting of tongue and airway occlusion. Guedel Airways come in different sizes and are colour coded for easy identification of sizes. Guedel Airways are sterile and single use only.
