Create your perfect sauna experience and treat yourself to a little break
Of course, the right sauna stones are part of your perfect sauna experience. Our sauna stones ensure heat retention in the sauna oven. This stored heat is gradually released back to the environment. Thanks to the function of the diabas sauna stones as infusion stones, the sauna effect is enhanced with a soothing infusion. The diabas, a volcanic hard stone, is ideal as a sauna stone.
We build our sauna stones ourselves in our own quarries in northern Bavaria. We attach great importance to the best quality. That's why our stones are picked by hand. They are extremely resistant to temperature fluctuations and retain the heat of the sauna stove for a long time. The Diabas sauna stones are suitable for both private and commercial saunas and can be used for electric, as well as wood-fired sauna ovens.
How do I find the right grain size of the sauna stones and the right amount for my sauna oven?
So that there is the right stone for every oven, we offer you our sauna stones in different grain sizes. Which size is right for your oven depends on the respective model. Depending on the design of the sauna stove, different amounts of sauna stones are also required. Whether your oven is to be completely filled or only the heating elements should be covered, please refer to the name plate or the instructions for use of your oven.
What should be considered before using the sauna stones for the first time?
Our sauna stones are not ready to be put on. Please clean the sauna stones thoroughly with water before first use and, if necessary, also with a brush to ensure the best possible sauna experience without odours.
How do I clean the sauna stones correctly?
The sauna stones are pre-sorted by size. As this is a natural product, small variations are completely normal. To achieve the desired fireplace effect, the stones should be leveled so that smaller stones are placed downwards between the heating elements and larger ones upwards. Please make sure not to damage the heating elements of the sauna oven. The stones and the sauna stove must not overheat. Therefore, do not overlay the stones so that air circulation is not prevented. Always adhere to the specifications of the oven manufacturer when assembling, using and selecting stones and never mix sauna stones from different manufacturers.
How do I properly care for the sauna stones and what service life do they have?
So that you can enjoy your sauna stones for as long as possible, we recommend that you thoroughly clean the stones at least once a year. The use of chemical detergents must be avoided so that no harmful fumes form during the subsequent sauna. As soon as the performance of the sauna stones decreases significantly, they should be replaced. In private saunas, it is recommended to change every 2-4 years, in commercial saunas annually.
