Masterclip professional grade clipper oil is highly refined and has been developed to improve the cutting performance of all your blades
Blades are not blunted by hair – in fact it is the tiny particles of grease, dirt and dander in your animal’s coat that are abrasive and dull the blades and preventing them from cutting cleanly. Masterclip clipping oil is available in single bottle or double bottle economy packs.
BLADE CARE ESSENTIALS
Drip a few spots of oil between the teeth of the blade and at the back of the cutter – essentially wherever the two parts of the blades are coming into contact.
Do not neglect your clipping blades! Oiling the blades will provide a protective film to enable the two pieces to move cleanly past each other, avoiding the build-up of frictional heat.
Remember that a hot blade is uncomfortable for the animal, can cause clipper rash and will ultimately dull the blade.
Regularly oil the clipper blades during the clip. Without oil on the blades heat will naturally build through friction as the two pieces of metal move past each other. Clipper oil lubricates the blade. If the insufficient oil is being applied the blades will get hot.
