It is an enzymatically hydrolyzed (virtually “predigested”) beef protein, which means that its digestion and absorption will be fast. A complete protein source, such as ours, provides the body with all the necessary types of amino acids, including the 9 amino acids the body cannot synthesize and must be supplied by the diet (i.e. Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Threonine, Tryptophan, Valine). We also added an extra 2 grams of free L-Leucine to the product, which is one of the most important essential amino acids! Dietary proteins are the source of nitrogen and essential amino acids, which the body requires for tissue growth and maintenance.
